Bonga Myeza
Managing Director

Bonga Myeza is Geologist by profession and has held various roles in the mining industry. He worked at BHP Billiton Energy Coal South Africa as a Geologist, responsible for the modelling of the coal reserves and as a Planning Engineer (Mine Engineer), responsible for mine designs and short-term planning for the Klipspruit Colliery. He was also the Planning Superintendent at Glencore Shanduka Coal, responsible for its two operations-; Graspan and Townlands Collieries. He has vast experience in the Short and Long Term Planning, and Production Opencast Mining environment.

Bonga holds a BSC (Hons) in Geological Sciences from the University of KwaZulu Natal, which he has used to advance his competencies in analytics, mine planning and implementing asset optimising initiatives.

Sthembele Khambule
Head of Strategic Planning


Sthembile Nkambule is a Mine Planning Strategist with over 15 years experience on interpreting complex financial and commercial data, into succinct information that is meaningful for key decision making Sthembile’s comprehensive understanding of the financial facets of business and experience in the mining industry has enabled her to create exceptional value for stakeholders. She carries a strong track record of collaborating and leading well in diverse teams.

Sthembile holds a BSc in Chemistry & Geology from the University of Kwazulu Natal, as well as a MBA from the University of South Africa. Additionally, she holds various certificates in various disciplines.


Dr. Siyanda Mngadi
Head of Mining and Resources

Siyanda Mngadi is a mining executive with an extensive investment knowledge in the mining industry. He has also worked in the Financial Services sector as a quantitative and fundamental investment analyst with R13 billion assets under management (AUM), where he was primarily responsible for financial modelling, market and equity research, market reports, pricing options, derivatives and equity valuation of resource industries. His experience is rooted in his knowledge on multiple geophysical methods such as seismic reflection, seismic refraction, electrical resistivity, electromagnetic, gravity and magnetic methods.

He recently completed his PhD in Geophysics, Mining Seismology and Rock Mechanics with the University of the Witwatersrand. He is a member of the Audit & Risk and Technical Committees at Council for Geoscience (CGS), as well as member of Anglo American Inyosi Coal’s (AAIC) operations committee.

Dr. Sanele Nyembe
Head of Research and Optimisation


Sanele Nyembe has over 10 years’ experience working in research and development in the mining, oil and gas industries for the purpose of knowledge generation and commercialisation. His background includes conducting fundamental research to discover new material's properties for various applications and improving products by using advanced analytical techniques. He was previously a Process Owner for new product development at Elementsix formerly known as DeBeers, where he partook in the research, development and supply of prototypes of synthetic diamond syndrills (cutters).


Sanele completed his PhD in Chemistry with the University of Witwatersrand. His area of competencies spans across project management, supervising, production/operation, information gathering, and processing.


Phindile Mzimela
Head of Engineering

Phindile Mzimela is an engineer, with almost 10 years working experience in the plant & maintenance field for leading construction and contract mining companies. She is currently a Plant Manager (Legal 2.9.2 Appointee), where she applies her knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act, as well as the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act to ensure compliance across the board.

She holds a NDp in Mechanical Engineering majoring in Electro Technology and Mathematics from the University of Johannesburg. She is currently pursuing a Government Certificate of Competency (GCC).
